Annapoorana Engineering College (Autonomous), Salem, marked a significant milestone in its journey toward academic excellence and innovation with the successful inauguration of the AICTE-funded IDEA Lab and the Annapoorani Tech Park on 9th March 2026.
The state-of-the-art facilities were inaugurated by N. V. Chandrasekar, Chairman (Governing Board), along with S. Aruna Devi Chandrasekar, Trustee of TKVTSMEC Trust, in the presence of faculty members, students, and distinguished guests.
The All India Council for Technical Education-funded IDEA Lab has been established as a hub for creativity, innovation, and experiential learning. Equipped with modern and advanced equipment, the lab provides students with opportunities to design, prototype, and experiment with innovative ideas. It aims to foster a culture of hands-on learning, enabling students to translate their concepts into practical solutions and entrepreneurial ventures.
Complementing this initiative is the Annapoorani Tech Park, a high-end computing facility with 600 advanced systems, designed to enhance students’ technical competencies. The Tech Park serves as a powerful platform for advanced learning, research, coding practice, simulation, and industry-oriented skill development, ensuring that students are well-prepared to meet the evolving demands of the technology-driven world.
Together, these initiatives represent a transformative step in strengthening the institution’s commitment to innovation-driven education. They provide students with access to cutting-edge infrastructure, encouraging them to develop future-ready skills, problem-solving abilities, and entrepreneurial thinking.
